The Ontario government provides a $10,000 recruitment incentive for eligible PSW graduates who commit to 12 months of full-time employment at a participating employer.
- Payment schedule: $5,000 after 6 months, $5,000 after 12 months.
- Eligibility: Graduate of Ontario PSW program (2022 standard).
PSWs who commit to working in Northern Ontario (RIO score 40+) may receive an additional $10,000 rural incentive.
- Paid in two instalments: $5,000 after 6 months, $5,000 after 12 months.
- Combine with recruitment incentive = $20,000 total from Ontario.
If you relocate at least 100 km to work in a rural/northern community, you can claim up to $10,000 relocation support.
- $5,000 upon start + $5,000 after 6 months.
- Stack all three Ontario incentives → $30,000 total.
